[FairNews]Offshore Korea 2014(OK 2014) will take place as Korea’s largest exhibition in professional offshore plant field, featuring 502 exhibiting companies with 1,310 booths from 31 countries

Offshore Korea 2014(OK 2014) will be held on Nov.12(Wed.) – 14(Fri.), 2014 in BEXCO(Busan Exhibition & Convention Center) Exhibition Center Ⅰ, S. KOREA, as a twice extended size compared to the last event.

 OK 2014 is hosted by Ministry of Trade, Industry & Energy, Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and Busan Metropolitan City and organized by BEXCO, Busan Marine Equipment Association, KOSHIPA, KOTRA, KYUNGYON and KIMEX. The exhibition can be largely divided into three major parts such as ▲exhibition ▲technical conferences ▲KOTRA Trade Fair.

 Specially sponsored by the three major shipyards in Korea - Hyundai Heavy Industries, Samsung Heavy Industries and DSME, the exhibition will take place as Korea‘s largest exhibition in professional offshore plant field in deed.

 □ Offshore Exhibition

First, the exhibition will be held in the entire hall of BEXCO Exhibition Center I and outdoor exhibition site as a twice extended size compared to the last event. In 2012 show, 400 exhibiting companies with 777 booths participated from 30 countries and this year exhibition will feature 502 exhibiting companies with 1,310 booths from 31 countries.

 The major exhibitors of the exhibition include six national pavilions from major offshore plant countries including U.K, Norway, Denmark, Singapore, Sweden and Finland as well as exhibitors from big shipyards, equipment suppliers, installation companies and related companies such as Hyundai Heavy Industries, DSME, MHWirth(Aker Solutions), National Oilwell Varco(NOV), FMC Technologies, Wartsila, Kongsberg, Atlas Copco, Alfa Laval, STACO, NK, DongHwa Entec, Sunbo Industry, PANASIA, Steelflower, Kiswire, DAECHUN Industrial and etc.

 In addition, reflecting the heightened phase of the exhibition, representatives of the international oil majors will attend the opening ceremony. Iceu Cahyani Harkomoyo, the upstream operation evaluation vice president of PT Pertamina(Persero) and David Cummins, senior supplier manager; head of strategic sourcing of Korea at Royal Dutch Shell will attend the exhibition and conferences.

□ 2014 Global Offshore & Marine Plaza (GOMP 2014)

Buyer business meeting organized by KOTRA will be prepared at BEXCO Convention hall and Exhibition Center I meeting room on 3rd floor titled “2014 Global Offshore & Marine Plaza (GOMP 2014)" on Nov.13-14.

On November 13, high-quality buyers from 100 companies including main contractors, shipyards, E&P, EPC and etc. will have 1:1 business meeting with exhibitors and the next day, the buyers will visit exhibitor's booth in order to seek potential clients and business partners.

 □ Technical Conferences

The conference titled "Offshore Korea Technical Conference 2014" will be held at BEXCO Exhibition Center II in 5A hall and meeting rooms on the third floor and 3 keynote addresses, 3 panel discussions, 13 sessions and 61 topic presentations are scheduled to be held.

 Conference advisory committee consisting of 26 experts from big shipyards, universities, research institutions and related agencies is preparing a technical conference scheduled to be held as a concurrent event.

 New technologies presentations such as FPSO, FLNG, Drill-ship, Subsea, Equipment, Station Keeping and etc will be held by sector for topic presentation. Furthermore, since 70 executives from major offshore-related companies and organizations like Shell, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, NOV, and etc. will participate as speakers, high-level conference regarding latest trends cutting-edge technology of offshore plant is expected to be opened.

 □ Special Events

Special events will take place during the exhibition. On November 12, welcome reception and welcome dinner will be held. Also, Technical seminars by Alfa Laval, offshore contract law seminar by HongKong International Arbitration Centre is coming on November 13. On November 14, European Chamber Of Commerce In Korea will give a speech of European offshore technology seminars.
